The 6 Advantages Forex Trading Has Over Other invesment

There are many different advantages to trading forex instead of futures or stocks, such as:
1. Lower Margin
Just like futures and stock speculation, a forex trader has the ability to control a large amount of the currency basically by putting up a small amount of margin. However, the margin requirements that are needed for trading futures are usually around 5% of the full value of the holding, or 50% of the total value of the stocks, the margin requirements for forex is about 1%. For example, margin required to trade foreign exchange is $1000 for every $100,000. What this means is that trading forex, a currency trader's money can play with 5-times as much value of product as a futures trader's, or 50 times more than a stock trader's. When you are trading on margin, this can be a very profitable way to create an investment strategy, but it's important that you take the time to understand the risks that are involved as well. You should make sure that you fully understand how your margin account is going to work. You will want to be sure that you read the margin agreement between you and your clearing firm. You will also want to talk to your account representative if you have any questions.
The positions that you have in your account could be partially or completely liquidated on the chance that the available margin in your account falls below a predetermined amount. You may not actually get a margin call before your positions are liquidated. Because of this, you should monitor your margin balance on a regular basis and utilize stop-loss orders on every open position to limit downside risk.
2. No Commission and No Exchange Fees
When you trade in futures, you have to pay exchange and brokerage fees. Trading forex has the advantage of being commission free. This is far better for you. Currency trading is a worldwide inter-bank market that lets buyers to be matched with sellers in an instant.
Even though you do not have to pay a commission charge to a broker to match the buyer up with the seller, the spread is usually larger than it is when you are trading futures. For example, if you were trading a Japanese Yen/US Dollar pair, forex trade would have about a 3 point spread (worth $30). Trading a JY futures trade would most likely have a spread of 1 point (worth $10) but you would also be charged the broker's commission on top of that. This price could be as low as $10 in-and-out for self-directed online trading, or as high as $50 for full-service trading. It is however, all inclusive pricing though. You are going to have to compare both online forex and your specific futures commission charge to see which commission is the greater one.

8 FOREX TRADING MISTAKES THAT COULD RESULT TO MARGIN CALL

1 IGNORANT OF NEWS EVENTS
Most ignorant technical traders often have there trading account badly damaged if not wiped out during news event releases. I therefore recommend that you get familiar with economic calendars even if you do not like trading them.

2 OVER TRADING.
Most ignorant traders often over trade in any of the following ways: opening more positions than they should, not knowing when they have exceeded there trading limits. I recommend trading only one position at a time as a beginner.

3 NO TRADING SYSTEM
One of the worst things that can happen to a trader is to chase after pips or dollars without a proven system. To succeed in trading you need a proven and tested decent trading system.

4 NO TRADING PLAN
A plan gives you the road map to your destination. When you have no plan, you will surely not know when you miss the way.

5 NOT KNOWING WHERE TO PLACE STOP LOSS ORDER And have high probability for profits
It is one thing to place stop loss orders, it is another thing to know where to place them in order to avoid being stopped out before price resumes in your analyzed irend and entry direction.

There is no shot fx trading technique for success in the currency trading market, but there are some well-known techniques that can assist you formulate a good advanced foreign exchange trading strategy. Here are few essential techniques that can help you cut your losses and increases profits:

How To Loose Everything — The Worst Forex Trading Strategy Ever That You Might Be Using

You may be wondering, `Why would David Jenyns write about the worst Forex trading strategy around?`
There are a couple of reasons:
First, to warn you about the worst Forex trading strategy, because you really don`t want to end up using this system.
Second, because once you know the worst possible Forex trading strategy, the one that is designed to maximize your losses over the long run, then you can reverse it to craft a strategy which does the exact opposite.
With what you learn from the worst Forex trading strategy, you will be able to create a system that will produce some tremendous long-term gains. The worst Forex trading strategy I`m referring to, which is simply the worst Forex trading strategy I have ever encountered, is known as averaging down. This horrifying Forex trading strategy is the process of buying more shares that you had previously acquired, as the price drops.
Traders often purchase shares this way in an effort to reduce their initial entry price.
Only bad investors average down by buying shares of a sinking assests to decrease their overall average price per share. This Forex trading strategy is hardly ever effective, and is often like throwing good money after bad. It also magnifies a trader`s loss if the share keeps dropping. Remember, just because a share is cheap now that doesn`t mean it`s not going to get any cheaper. However, let`s examine how this devastating Forex trading strategy works. Say you bought one thousand shares at $40.
The novice investor may not have a stop loss in place, and the share price falls to $30 dollars. Here comes the stupidity of this Forex trading strategy — to average down the novice trader might by another thousand shares at $30 to lower the average cost per share that he`d already purchased. So, his average cost per share would now be $35.
Unfortunately, the share price may fall even further, and the novice trader will again buy more shares to reduce the average cost per share. They end up buying more and more into a share that`s losing their money.
Now, imagine this Forex trading strategy being applied to a portfolio of assets. In the end, all the capital will automatically be allocated to the worse performing assets in the portfolio while the best performing assets are sold off. The result is, at best, a disastrous under performance versus the market.

WHY SHOULD I INVEST IN SHARES

Almost everyone worldwide has an interest in shares, whether they realize it or not. Millions of people around the world own shares directly. However, many millions more have an indirect stake in the stock market through pension schemes, life insurance policies, NIT units, and other mutual funds. All of these, invest in shares traded on the stock market.Today, increasing number of people own shares around the world, while many more invest in pension schemes, have an insurance policy, National Saving Schemes (NSS) or another form of collective savings invested in shares traded in stock markets. However, investing in shares is different from saving in a bank or National Saving Scheme. There is more risk - but there is the opportunity for better reward over the longer term. With deposit accounts, you earn interest on your capital. When you take your cash back, you get back exactly the same amount that you first deposited (plus the interest it has earned). With shares, you may receive dividends but when you sell those shares, you might get back more than you bought them for, which is your reward for taking a risk.Nevertheless, because shares can go up as well as down in value, it is important to understand that taking a risk means you might get back lesser than you had invested initially. You can minimize your risk by investing in different shares or a collective fund. There is, however, the possibility of greater rewards. Funds invested in equities in the long term (five or more years) have outperformed regular saving accounts. You should remember that saving through the stock market should be seen as a long-term investment. Historically, money invested in shares over the long term (ten or more years) has almost always outperformed regular saving accounts. Before investing in stocks and shares, you should understand your own financial position and what you hope to achieve with your investments. Your regular financial obligations should be protected and preparation should be made for unexpected expenses

FOREX trading psychology: Learn to see the line between the trading plan and your emotional impulses ...

The vast majority of Forex education organizations fail to address the only true characteristic of a market place, the human nature.

You can easily find loads of charts, pivot points, moving averages, trend lines and all sorts of Fibonacci ratios, together with the latest in trading automation. Any Forex website publishes some or all of these data, along with myriads of other details, interviews and opinions.

You may even get entry and exit signals, support and resistance levels, all of which could appear as sufficient in the decision making process.

I was under the same impression as a beginner, I was at the same level as an intermediate trader and only heavy losses and low risk/reward decisions made me look for a different approach to trading.

Explosive Profits: 7 Reasons to Trade Forex ...

There are many money-making opportunities out there and we've been involved with quite a few, namely property marketing, web development, residential construction security, multi-level marketing businesses etc.

We've come to a few conclusions with the help of some well-known properity coaches.

Often people with the income they desire don't have the time to enjoy it. Those that have time don't often have money. You don't have to sacrifice your life-style to earn an above-average income. If you focus on the for a few months you can make that dream a reality and create time and money to do what you REALLY want.

Currency Trading Is Not The Monopoly Of The Nerds And The Geeks ..

The general perception is that any and every person who is involved in the business of trading of currency or foreign exchange is a person who has a super high IQ. To hear words and phrases like liquidity ratio, central bank intervention and inflationary demand makes us feel as if we are back in the boring and inherently avoidable lecture on economics that we were forced to attend in our college.

However, all these preconceived notions apart, forex or currency trading is not the domain for the super intelligent alone.

There is no doubt that you need brains to get involved in forex trading. Then, I bet you cannot name a single sphere of human activity that does not need the application of one's mind. A bit of brains and lot of research can help you make a tidy sum in currency trading.

Forex Made Easy for Everyone ..

Forex made easy is as simple as you would want it to be. The foreign exchange market is a worldwide market and according to some estimates is almost as big as thirty times the turnover of the US Equity markets. That is some figure to chew on. Forex is the commonly used term for foreign exchange. As a person who wants to invest in the forex market, one should understand the basics of how this currency market operates.

Mistakes in a Trading Environment

Trading Psychology: ..

When it comes to trading, one of the most neglected subjects are those dealing with trading psychology. Most traders spend days, months and even years trying to find the right system. But having a system is just part of the game. Don't get us wrong, it is very important to have a system that perfectly suits the trader, but it is as important as having a money management plan, or to understand all psychology barriers that may affect the trader decisions and other issues. In order to succeed in this business, there must be equilibrium between all important aspects of trading.

In the trading environment, when you lose a trade, what is the first idea that pops up in your mind? It would probably be, "There must be something wrong with my system", or "I knew it, I shouldn't have taken this trade" (even when your system signaled it). But sometimes we need to dig a little deeper in order to see the nature of our mistake, and then work on it accordingly.

Forex: No psychological limitations ..

Back when I first started learning about investing, I decided to start from the beginning and read basic books on personal finance as well as "guides" for understanding all of the investment world in a nut shell. Most of these authors were very knowledgeable and informative, but their investment advice was far too conservative for my taste. They would literally write chapter after chapter talking about the differences between conservative investing, which according to them generally yields somewhere around 5% PA, as opposed to "risky" investing which usually meant a diversified stock/mutual fund portfolio yielding (in my mind) only slightly higher averages. What kind of returns can you expect in the stock market? Well they say the market has gone up an average of 10% a year since Adam and Eve. Popular indexes like the DOW and the now more popular S&P500 have always, like real estate, "gone up over time."

Forex Market Trading And The Mind Games ..

First, what is Forex: The FOREX or Foreign Exchange market is the largest financial market in the world, with an volume of more than $1.5 trillion daily, dealing in currencies. Unlike other financial markets, the Forex market has no physical location, no central exchange. It operates through an electronic network of banks, corporations and individuals trading one currency for another.

Mind Games defined: Mind Games are a kind of social interaction where participants try to screw with one anothers' heads. The concept is most often used colloquially to refer to deceitful, confusing or Machiavellian situations. However some mind games are described by the psychology of transactional analysis.

When it comes to trading on the Forex market, winning is a matter of the mind rather than mind over matter. Any trader who's been in the game for any length of time will tell you that psychology has a lot to do with both your own performance on the trading floor and with the way that the market is moving. Playing a winning hand depends on knowing your own mind — and understanding the way that psychology moves the market.

The Forex Market And Its Three Distinctive Element .

Although there are many distinctive elements of the Forex market, there are three that can be highlighted as helping new traders learn exactly what the foreign exchange market is all about. These distinctive elements are those that every new trader should know long before they make their first trade. The Forex system is one that is made to encompass the entire globe. It can be difficult to interpret and even more difficult to successfully trade within. The first step to being a successful trader is knowing how the system works. Before you even think about opening a Forex account, be sure that you are familiar with the foreign exchange market's three distinctive elements: geographical, functional, and participant.

Forecasting Forex Trading ..

What is Forex or Foreign Exchange: It is the largest financial market in the world, with a volume of more than $1.5 trillion daily, dealing in currencies. Unlike other financial markets, the Forex market has no physical location, no central exchange. It operates through an electronic network of banks, corporations and individuals trading one currency for another.

What about Forecasting: Predicting current and future market trends using existing data and facts. Analysts rely on technical and fundamental statistics to predict the directions of the economy, stock market and individual securities.

Understanding what Influence the Forex

This article will explain some of the differences between Technical Analysis and Fundamentals and explain a bit about each type of trading. Excerpts are taken from the best-selling book 'Market Wizards' where Jack Schwager interviews Ed Seykota and Bruce Kovner.

Ed is a trend trader (uses technical analysis) and also relies on hunches from 20 years of experience. He definitely emphasizes his reliance on technical analysis. While reading this, I liken, the 'hunches' to knowing the effect fundamentals can have on a market although I could be mistaken, they could be purely from reading lots of charts so well. Here are is exact words "Fundamentals that you read about are typically useless as the market has already discounted the price, and I call them 'funny-mentals.' However, if you catch on early, before others believe, then you might have valuable 'surprise-a-mentals.'"

Ed says his priorities when trading are the long term trend, the current charts and picking a good spot to buy or sell, in that order.

Bruce says technical is awesome and very useful but by no means disregards fundamentals.

It's important to note that technical analysis is a critical method of understanding the history of market movements and hence useful to identify trends. It doesn't actually tell us where the currency is going but analyses historical data. We then need to use our own intelligence to see what the activity of trading says about future trades.

Technical Analysis can be compared to taking a patient's temperature. To ignore it is ignorance and it can tell you whether a market is active, or cold and dormant.

It also picks up unusual behaviour. Anything that creates a new chart pattern is something unusual. He also says "Studying the charts is absolutely crucial and alerts me to existing disequilibria and potential changes."

It's the fundamentals that will help to indicate whether a trading value will increase or decrease.

Everything that makes a country tick, in Forex terms. Consumer spending, government spending, employment cost index, government policy, political concerns and even an individual event can influence the market heavily.

In summary, the fundamentals will indicate the direction of a price but not exact prices. The chart analysis or technical analysis is better for that, so together you can really increase your chances of coming away with some pips..

Why Trade the FOREX

My purpose for writing this article is to demonstrate to you the advantages of trading on the Forex market. However, there is one myth that I want to dispel before I go further. The myth is that there is a difference between trading and investing. To dispel that myth I quote from Al Thomas, President of Williamsburg Investment Company, who wrote "If It Doesn't Go Up, Don't Buy It". He said "Everyone who invests is a trader, only the time period is different." It is a lesson that I took seriously after taking a beating in the stock market in 2000.

So now, let's compare features of currency trading to those of stock and commodity trading.

Liquidity — The Forex market is the most liquid financial market in the world around 1.9 trillion dollars traded everyday. The commodities market trades around 440 billion dollars a day, and the US stock market trades around 200 billion dollars a day. This ensures better trade execution and prevents market manipulation. It also ensures easily executable trading.

Trading Times — The Forex market is open 24 hours a day (except weekends) which means that in the US it opens at 3:00 pm Sunday (EST) and closes Friday at 5:00 (EST), allowing active traders to choose the times they want to trade. Commodities trading hours are all over the board depending on which commodity you are trading. Including extended trading times US stocks can be traded from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm (ET) on weekdays.

Leverage — Depending on your Forex account size, your leverage may be 100:1, although there are Forex brokers that offer leverage of up to 400:1 (not that I would ever recommend that kind of leverage). Leverage in the stock market can be as high as 4:1, and in the commodities market, leverage varies with the commodity traded but it can be quite high. Because the commodity markets are not as liquid as the Forex market, its leverage is inherently riskier. Although I was never shut out of a commodity trade by the day limit, the fear was always in the back of my mind.

Trading costs — Transaction costs in the Forex market is the difference between the buy and sell price of each currency pair. There are no brokerage fees. For both the stock and the commodity markets, there are transaction costs and brokerage fees. Even when you use discount brokers, those fees add up.

Minimum investment — You can open a Forex trading account for as little as $300.00. It took $5,000 for me to open my futures trading account.

Focus — 85% of all trading transactions are made on 7 major currencies. In the US stock market alone there are 40,000 stocks. There are just over 200 commodity markets, although quite a few are so illiquid that they are not traded except by hedgers. As you can see, the fewer number of instruments allows us to study each one more closely.

Trade execution — In the Forex market, trade execution is almost instantaneous. In both the equity and commodity markets, you count on a broker to execute your trades and their results are sometimes inconsistent..

To earn a living money is given in exchange for a product or service rendered. It needs to be sold continuously otherwise your income stops abruptly unless it's a repeat type of product or service.

Money is a medium of exchange. There's no magical formula to possess it, you need to exchange something of value for it.

What if, you could have access to thousands of customers who are ready, willing and able to buy from you whenever you wanted? Wouldn't it be great to avoid any hassles like money collection problems (just had a delayed payment from my web business), keeping difficult customers happy (we all know what that's like), competition stealing your business without providing the same value etc.

All that is possible with . You can also trade from anywhere. Take your laptop with you, find an internet connection and away you go.

Another advantage is that you don't need experience to get started. Get a traditionally job involves accumulating specialized experience, having a well-polished resume and having the right contacts. With the right training course, you can get started straight away.

Here's 7 more reasons to trade :

1. It never closes. It's open around the clock, worldwide. Trading positions open at Monday 7am, New Zealand time and close 5pm New York time on Friday. During this time, you can enter or exit the market whenever you like. It's a continuous electronic currency exchange. This is great because you can trade whenever you have spare time.

2. Leverage. Standard $100 000 currency lots can be traded with as little as $1000. This is mainly because of the ease with which you can buy and sell, some brokers will leverage up to 200 times, so with $100 you can control a 200 000 unit currency position. It's the best use of trading capital around, even banks lending on property investments don't come close.

3. Accurately predict the outcomes. Currency prices generally repeat themselves in predictable cycles so you can see what the trends are. 'Technical Analysis' helps to see these trends and profit from them.

4. Low Transaction Cost. In other words, you mistakes won't cost you a fortune. Good brokers won' charge commissions to trade or maintain an account even if you have a mini account and trade small volumes.

5. Unlimited Earning Potential. has a daily trading volume of over 1.5 trillion, the largest financial market in the world. It dwarfs the equities market (50 billion daily) and the futures market (30 billion).

6. You can make money in any market conditions. Each market is one currency against another, so when you buy in one, you're selling in another so there's no biase towards either currency moving up or down. This means it's up to you to choose which currency to buy or sell with. Yu can make money going up or down.

7. Market transparency. This is an advantage in any business or trading environment. It means you can manage risk and execute orders within seconds. It's highly efficient and allows you to avoid unexpected 'surprises'..

Trading Forex To Advance Your Financial Position ..

Trading Forex To Advance Your Financial Position ..

Everyday, currencies are traded in an international foreign exchange market, otherwise known as the forex market, with the main marketplaces (otherwise known as bourses) existing in the world's financial centes New York, London, Tokyo, Frankfurt and Zurich. Historically, the only way to participate was from the trading floor of one of these bourses, but today, people can trade forex from anywhere through a secure internet connection and a PC.

Today's traders operate in a global network, taking positions in the market and making investment decisions based on either relative value between two currencies, or a particular currency's actual price. Currency value fluctuations are constantly renegotiated through trading activity, and this activity, and the corresponding currency values are also indicators of the levels of currency supply.

An example of market behaviour greater demand for the Euro might indicate a weakening supply. Low supply and increased demand will drive the price of the Euro up against other currencies like the dollar, until the price better reflects what traders are prepared to pay when short supply exists. Another way to look at this situation is this higher demand means it will cost more dollars to buy the Euro, which equates to a weakening of the dollar in comparison. Analysis of situations such as in this example forms the basis for a trader's investment decisions, and they will purchase or sell currency accordingly.

This should be remembered, as while many see the foreign exchange market as the vehicle for converting their home currency while travelling abroad, many others choose to use the market to advance their financial position and secure.

In the pay per click section you are given a large list of keywords that Nick found convert really well with his system. Some of the keywords in the list have bid prices already attached to them so you can get front page exposure.

The course also has $50 in free adwords credit that unfortunately only works with new accounts so I was out of luck. If you don't already have an account this is worth the price of the course alone.

The forex course shows you some inexpensive traffic methods and provides links to these sources. He also covers stuff like pop-over ads, e-mail lists and autoresponders. Not bad information by any means, and is an alternative to pay per click advertising if you have a smaller budget.

He has an ebook package that seemed like it was going to be really cool as there were dozens of bonus ebooks and software programs covering everything from creating ebooks and website templates, to getting top positions in the major search engines.

As I took a closer look at this package I realized there were some bargain bin informational products included. However, there were also alot of goodies in there as well that I found rather useful. You get so many ebooks and software in here that it really is worth far more than the price of the course.

There is a section on becoming an Ebay power seller in 90 days that goes into a fair amount of detail and wasn't bad. However, Ebay isn't something I have ever been particularly interested in doing. There is also a section on baccarat strategies that I had no interest in.

One of the last sections of his course introduces you to e-currency exchanging using the DXINONE system. It is a great way to acquaint yourself with this increasingly popular opportunity without having to buy standalone e-currency courses which can cost a couple hundred dollars.

The author has combined several effective ways to earn money online and rolled them all into one course. While I didn't jump up and down about all of his strategies, the free ebooks, software, and adwords credit make Forex Enterprise worth the money...

US Dollar: Is This the Turn Markets Have Been Waiting For?

US Dollar: Is This the Turn Markets Have Been Waiting For?

Posted by FOREX NEWS

The US Dollar fell near fresh year-to-date lows versus the Euro and other major counterparts, but a sharp end-of-week reversal suggests that the downtrodden Greenback could stage a larger recovery. Impressive S&P 500 rallies played a large role in dollar weakness. A late-week US University of Michigan Consumer Confidence nonetheless proved sharply disappointing, and the key risk sentiment barometer turned notably lower into the week’s close. The strongly-correlated safe-haven US currency continues to take its cues from risky assets, and a true turnaround in stocks could herald an accelerated USD correction. We feel that a sustained US Dollar rally is almost inevitable, but timing the turn remains extremely difficult and we’ve thus far been early in our calls for Greenback strength. Increasingly one-sided sentiment nonetheless that Friday’s USD rally could be the start of a bigger move. Limited US economic event risk in the week ahead leaves volatility expectations noticeably lower, but the dip hardly precludes short-term breakouts. Last week’s string of top-tier economic reports underlined the fact that forex traders still care about economic data, but market reactions are not always intuitive. Indeed, the dollar has frequently rallied on a number of disappointing US economic data releases. The strange dynamic owes itself to the USD’s strong link to risk sentiment and the S&P 500. When the S&P gapped lower following a clearly worse-than-forecast University of Michigan Consumer Confidence report, the US Dollar rallied sharply against the Euro and other key counterparts. If we can expect similar price action in the days ahead, US Dollar bulls should hope that domestic economic sentiment has likewise taken a turn for the worse. Recent Consumer Confidence figures suggest future consumption-linked reports may similarly disappoint. Foreseeable highlights in the week ahead include Treasury International Capital (TICs) data, Housing Starts and Building Permits reports, and an end-of-week Existing Home Sales release. The first report may prove especially interesting to recently-skittish US Treasury Bond traders, as it will underline the health of foreign demand for US Dollar asset classes. Much was made of a “failed” US Treasury auction at the end of July, where demand for 2 and 5-year Treasury Note was sharply lower than expected. Commentators suggested that supply of US Government debt had far outstripped demand and Treasuries tumbled on the news. Recent 30-year bond auction results nonetheless showed healthy demand for long-term debt—that which is particularly susceptible to fears of excessive government deficits and creditworthiness. We here at DailyFX could not help but notice that the news coincided with the Fed’s aggressive balance sheet expansion on the week. Indeed, the Fed’s Quantitative Easing measures have explicitly purchased Treasuries and likely overstated the health of demand for US debt. The TICs report will provide a breakdown of foreign purchases and demystify the source of robust 30-year bond demand, and any signs of weakness in foreign purchases could have noteworthy effects on the US Dollar and domestic stock markets. Prominent housing data could likewise drive volatility in the US S&P 500 and the Greenback, but results for the choppy data series are especially difficult to handicap. We will clearly keep a close eye on the S&P and other risky asset classes through upcoming trade. Whether or not the US dollar can finally stage a comeback will likely depend on the trajectory of financial risk sentiment. - DR

Avoid Using Credit Cards

Step1

Remember that every time you swipe a credit card, you're borrowing money you don't have, and digging yourself further into debt. Look at your credit card and repeat it to yourself, over and over again, until it's the first thing that comes to your mind whenever you see that card in your hand.

Step2

Scale back to one card. Close all the other accounts, and cut up the cards. Yes, closing several accounts at once may ding your credit score a bit, but if you're going to be living a debt-free lifestyle from now on, that little ding isn't going to make a difference. Credit scores only matter when you try to borrow money you don't have!

Step3
Leave your one credit card at home. It's too tempting to use it if it's immediately available in your wallet. Your credit card should only be used when you need to make an immediate purchase (like an airline ticket), but need time to transfer the money to your checking account (from a savings or other account). It should NOT be used to purchase items you don't have the money for! After using your card, immediately transfer the money you need and pay it off. Don't wait for interest to accrue.

Step4
Manage your money with an online tool such as Mvelopes, where you can see all of your accounts in one place. Log on every day to balance your checking account transactions and schedule bill payments, so you know exactly how much money you have available for each category (gas, groceries, clothes) at any given moment. See my article "How to Manage Your Money Online" for more info.

Step5
Use cash or debit card only. Now that you know exactly how much money is available, you'll be more likely to stay under that limit. You know what this means, though. When the money runs out, STOP SPENDING! If you use cash or debit only, you'll have no choice but to be more careful and deliberate about your spending.

Step6
If you're having trouble learning how to curb your spending, put cash into designated envelopes in your wallet or purse, and leave your debit card at home (to prevent overdraw and impulse purchases). When your grocery money envelope is empty, you have to stop, period. Studies have shown that the action of counting out dollar bills and handing them over is psychologically more painful than swiping a card, which is why you tend to spend less when using cash.

Step7
Attend a personal money management class like Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University to give you a practical plan for eliminating debt and building wealth, and help keep you inspired, educated and accountable.

Step8
Get rid of tempting credit card offers in the mail. Log on to www.optoutprescreen.com and follow the directions to opt out of unwanted credit card offers and other financial junk mail.

Step9
Ask for help. If you still cannot seem to control your spending and impulse purchases, get whatever help you need, whether from a financial advisor or even a therapist who specializes in compulsive behaviors.

Consolidate Federal Student Loans

Step1

Contact Your Lender: Although as a general rule the traditional lenders are not consolidating student loans, it still doesn't hurt to try. Call your lender today and ask about low annual percentage personal loans or even low interest credit cards. With low credit card annual percentage rates (APR) you might even get a similar rate.

Step2

Federal Direct Consolidation Loans: If you google search "Federal Student Loan Consolidation" one of the first sites you will find is www.loanconsolidation.ed.gov - the federal website for federal student aid. If you select "Borrower Services" it will take you to the federal consolidation website. It takes about a month to get a response from the FSA, but it is the only agency that is currently consolidation the loans.

Step3

What if I can't get the loans consolidated?: In a few instances it may be impossible to consolidate your loans, so what can you do if you just can't afford the payments at this time. First you should contact your lender and simply tell them it is too much to repay at this time (cite your reasons). Many times they will reduce your payment or extend the life of the loan. A second option is to place the loans in forbearance, which allows you to defer payment for a set amount of time until your financial situation improves. A third option is to return to school at least part-time (6 units). This can be done at a junior college or a local university, and is not dependent on what courses you take. This option will allow you to defer your loans without penalty, as long as you are in school.

Choosing Between Credit and Debit Cards

Knowing the principle differences between credit and debit cards can help you make wiser financial decisions, thus saving you money. Unfortunately, too many consumers seem to mix up these two types of payment tools, especially when it comes to using credit cards and meeting payment obligations on them. Both, credit and debit cards have their advantages and drawbacks.

If you want to avoid common pitfalls and stay away from financial troubles that strip most vulnerable Americans of their homes and happiness, it is time to get some education.
Trying to understand what you really need, a credit or a debit card, you should look into your priorities, spending habits and special needs. The basic and crucial difference between the two lies in the”working mechanism”. For example, when you pay with a debit card, it is the same as if you were paying with your own hard cash. Except that the cash is in the form of a small plastic and is actually kept in a special checking account with your bank.

How do you get the money in your checking account? There are several ways you can do it. You can make direct cash deposits, arrange transfers from other bank accounts or have your employer transfer your paycheck to the account. You can load the account any time and each time you need more funds available. Remember, using a debit card, you spend your own money without owing anything like interest to your bank. There are some fees though associated with debit card servicing but they are not significant.

A credit card works as a loan. You don’t own the money on the card – you borrow it from a bank. Hence, there come all these APRs (the price for using a credit line), fees and other charges that cover card service, as well as your borrowing risk. As it is kind of a loan, you do not have to pay the purchase price back immediately. Usually, you have up to 30 days before your first minimum payment is due.

At this point cardholders begin to abuse the basic credit card rule – the rule to pay each monthly bill before the due date with more than the minimum required.

The different “working mechanisms” of credit and debit cards determine their pricing and risk. Those who do not make timely payments on credit cards are likely to dig a hole of debt that’s impossible to get out of. And people do make late payments and even miss them.

When default APRs and penalty fees apply to already great balances, your financial wellbeing becomes dependent on external factors such as consumer debt counseling services and various debt management programs.

With all this, the advantages of credit cards are evident. You can easily purchase an item or a service which you were not able to afford before. Plus, you can benefit from various kinds of rewards which accumulate with each card purchase and build up into a value redeemable for brand name merchandize and free services.

Forex Strategy: Trading with Stochastics

Stochastics are amongst the most popular technical indicators when it comes to Forex Trading. Unfortunately most traders use them incorrectly. In this article we will review the correct way to use this popular technical indicator.
George Lane developed this indicator in the late 1950s. Stochastics measure the current close relative to the range (high/low) over a set of periods.

Stochastics consist of two lines:

%K - Is the main line and is usually displayed as a solid line
%D - Is simply a moving average of the %K and is usually displayed as a dotted line

There are three types of Stochastics: Full, fast and slow stochastics. Slow stochastics are simply a smother version of the fast stochastics, and full stochastics are even a smother version of the slow stochastics.

Interpretation:
Buy whe %K falls below the oversold level (below 20) and rises back above the same level.
Sell when %K rises above de overbought level (above 80) and falls back below the same level.
The interpretation above is how most traders and investors use them; however, it only works when the market is trendless or ranging. When the market is trending, a reading above the overbought territory isn't necessary a bearish signal, while a reading below de oversold territory isn't necessary bullish signal.

Trending market

When the market is trending is necessary to adapt the oscillator to the same conditions: When the market is trending up, then the signals with the higher probability of success are those in direction of the trend "Buy signals", on the other hand when the market is trending down, selling signals offer the lowest risk opportunities.
Thus when the market is trending up, we will only look for oversold conditions (when the stochastics fall below the oversold level [below 20] and rises back above the same level) to get ready to trade, and in the same way, when the market is trending down we will only look for overbought conditions (when the stochastics rise above de overbought level [above 80] and falls back below the same level.
Taking all overbought/oversold signals during a trending market will lead us to many whipsaws. If you are not comfortable with the number of signals given, try expanding your trading to other currency pairs.

Trend-less market

During a ranging market we could use the interpretation explained above to trade off stochastics.

Divergence

Divergence trades are amongst the most reliable trading signals in the Forex market. A divergence occurs either when the indicator reaches new highs/lows and the market fails to do it or the market reaches new highs/lows and the indicator fails to do it. Both conditions mean that the market isn't as strong as it used to be giving us opportunities to profit from the market.
Stochastics can also be used to trade off divergences.

Price behavior

A price behavior can be incorporated into any kind of system or Forex strategy. When using divergences or overbought/oversold condition with a price behavior approach, the probability of success of our signals increases enormously. Why? Because price dictates at the end, how all indicators will behave, it also gives us a lot of information about the probable direction it will take in the future.
I hope this article helps you become a better trader.

Investing in Forex

Investing in foreign currencies is a relatively new avenue of investing. There are considerably fewer people are aware of this market than there are people aware of several other avenues of investing. Trading foreign currency, also known as forex, is the most lucrative investment market that exists. There are several factors that make this true among which, successful forex traders earn realistic profits of one hundred plus percent each month. Compared to some of the better known investment markets such as corporate stocks, this is an unheard of return on investment. It's very necessary to mention here that a person who invests in forex must, without exception, make it a point to learn the detailed, but simple strategies and information surrounding the market. This very fact is what makes the difference between successful forex traders and other traders.
A few additional points, which create such powerful leverage for investors within the forex market are: The amount of capital required to begin investing in the market is only three hundred dollars. For the most part, any other investment market is going to demand thousands of dollars of the investor in the beginning. Also, the market offers opportunities to profit regardless what the direction of the market may be; In most commonly known markets investors sit and wait for the market to begin an up trend before entering a trade. Even then, investors, as a rule must sit and wait some more to be able to exit the trade with a nice profit. Given that the forex market produces several up, down, and sideways trends in a single day, it can easily be seen that forex stands head and shoulders above other markets. Additionally there are trading strategies, which are taught that provide for compounded profits; these are profits on top of profits. In addition, free demo accounts are available within the industry of forex trading, which facilitate the sharpening of skills without the risk losing any capital. And the advantage regarding the time factor in trading foreign currency is a very attractive point for any investor. Compared to one of the most sought after avenues of investing, which often requires forty or more hours each week, namely in the real-estate market, the forex market requires a much smaller demand on the investor's time. Forex trading requires approximately ten to fifteen hours each week to earn a full time income. It's easy to see that the advantages and great leverage that exist in the forex market, make it among the most lucrative, time liberating, and easy to enter by far.
I hope this information gives you a clear understanding of how you can turn your investing into a true method of making your money work harder for you.

Royal Bank of Scotland: the yen will rise against the dollar

The yen could continue to rise against the dollar, analysts believe Royal Bank of Scotland. "On this front, the main force is the flight from risk, and the yen in recent times more likely to grow", - said Greg Gibbs, a currency strategist at the Bank. "Japanese individual investors have opened a lot of short positions, which indicates the possibility of profit-taking and, consequently, growth."

Finding the Best Student Loan Consolidation Plan

Are you a recent college graduate? Do you struggle each month to make payments on two or more different student loans? Are you looking for a source of the best student loan consolidation advice? If you have answered “yes” to each of the three questions posed above, then you should set aside some time for reading and studying the information in the following article. Learn about what you should expect from a company that has offered to consolidate your student loans. Tell any company that seeks to have you as a client that that company must meet your expectations.
Have you been bemoaning all of the payments that you have to make each month, because you took out two or more student loans? Do you worry about the possibility that you might soon lack sufficient funds for fulfillment of your financial obligations? Do you think that you might be forced to default on your student loans? If so, then you need to initiate a search for the best student loan consolidation plan.
The decision to consolidate a group of student loans does not represent an attempt to ignore the financial obligations that plague so many new graduates. The decision to consolidate a group of student loans simply provides a new alumnus or alumna with the opportunity to rewrite the terms on those loans. At the same time, the holder of those multiple loans can put all of his or her student loans in a single Consolidation loan.
If the prospect of re-writing the terms of your loans appeals to you, and if you would like to wrap all of your loan obligations in a single package, then you need to sit down at a computer. You need to find a computer with access to the Internet. In that way you can examine the offerings of many different companies. In that way you can enjoy a greater likelihood for finding the best student loan consolidation plan.
What should you expect from such a plan? First, you should expect to be provided with a loan that has a fixed interest rate. Moreover, that fixed rate should be lower than the interest rate that you currently pay on your existing student loans.
So, stop bemoaning all the payments you are making (or are failing to make) to a group of lenders. Instead, get one of our School Consolidation loans, and make one single payment each month. That payment will have a low and fixed interest rate. Moreover, you will be provided with plenty of time in which to pay off your Consolidation loan.
Maybe you are familiar with consolidation loans. Maybe you already consolidated a few of your student loans. If you have since taken out yet another student loan, you can now put that new loan together with your first consolidation loan. You need to look for a company that has employees who know how to consolidate a single loan with a Consolidation loan. That is probably the best company for you.
Perhaps you are confused about the rules that relate to consolidation loans. Maybe you read back in May of 2006 that former students who married could combine their two groups of loans in one consolidated loan. Maybe you thus decided to marry right out of college. Now you have learned that a husband and wife can not put their loans together in a single consolidation loan.
If that describes the dilemma facing you, then you need to seek out a company that can empathize with your particular problems. You should look for a company that can work with you and your wife as you apply for separate consolidation loans. Maybe you will find a company that feels ready to give you extra great terms, because both you and your wife will be consolidating various student loans at the same time, and with the same company.
Watch out for any company that lets you think that you will enjoy a “free ride,” once you have managed to get a consolidation loan. The company that has worked out the terms for any consolidation loan expects to receive a monthly payment from the former student who has sought out that consolidation loan. That payment will include an interest. If a company gives you a long time in which to pay back a consolidated loan, then you should expect to be paying a rather high interest rate.
Whatever terms you get from any company that consolidates your multiple student loans that company will expect to get money back from you. No company is going to give you a “free ride.” So, once you become the former student who has acquired a Consolidation loan, you should not go out and spend your money on some sort of celebration.
After you have managed to get a Consolidation loan, you need to take a careful look at your budget. You might well want to develop a revised budget. You will want to be sure that you have that single loan payment available to you each month. You need to develop a budget that provides you with that assurance.
Once you get a student consolidation loan, you will notice that you need fewer envelopes every month. Once you get as student consolidation loan, you will not need to buy as many stamps. Still, that does not mean that you have reduced greatly the amount of money that you owe, as compensation to the providers of your student loans.
Once you get a student consolidation loan, you must resist the temptation to saddle yourself with further debts. You need to pay off your student loans as quickly as possible. In that way, you will be able to reap the full benefit of having a college degree. You will be in a position to go after a string of career successes.
A student loan is an investment in your future. Make sure that you can prove to others that you have made a wise investment. Consolidate your loans, pay them off, and then build on the firm foundation that you have created.

Free Application for Student Financial Aid (FAFSA)

Searching for College Scholarships

The prospect of paying for your college education is freaking you out, you're not alone! The thought of paying off consolidated student loans for years can feel pretty overwhelming, as is the process of filling out complicated financial aid forms. Free money is not going to fall from the sky to pay for your college education? Or is it?

Scholarships are the easiest way to help students afford their education. There's billions of dollars out there from people who want to help students like you make their way through college. All you have to do is find those billions of dollars-- or at least your fair share of it.

In the end, if you wind up with a few thousand dollars or more for college than what you started with, it will be worth it.

The Internet

Scholarship websites have made it much easier to find money than it used to be. Register for multiple free scholarship databases such as Scholarship.com, FastWeb.com, and CollegeBoard.com's scholarship search. Be persistent and check back with these websites often. One word of caution: don't limit your scholarship search to just the Internet. Yes, this is a great resource, but there are other ways to find money as well.

High school guidance counselors and college advisors

Don't forget that there are people out there who are paid to help students navigate the system. A simple question like, "Can you tell me some good places to find out about scholarships?" can really help. If they know a little bit about you, they might be able to recommend particular scholarships.

Local organizations

Businesses and other organizations give out scholarship money because it's good publicity. Find out what businesses in your community award scholarships. Your high school guidance counselor can help you with this task.

Alumni scholarships

Many colleges and universities have scholarships for children and grandchildren of former students.

Exam Study Shortcuts for College Students
